Our Apple Mac Technician training course will equip you with the skills to become credible in troubleshooting and repairing Apple Mac computers.
With this training, you can become a repair technician by obtaining the experience of repairing Apple computer systems.
Through interactive discussions with a technically experienced Minko’s Macs technician and practical exercises, you will learn the processes involved in the following:

  • MacOS setup
  • Maintenance Features;
  • other associated Mac services

This course will also include training in the resolution of common troubleshooting issues in relation to MacOS, undertaking Mac hardware problems;
as well as the diagnosis process and repair of Mac computers across a range of models.

There will be an emphasis placed on ensuring practical experience is at the forefront of this training, in order to enhance the learning experience and to gain the skills required to carry out tasks in real life scenarios.

This will enable knowledge to be assessed along the learning journey through both practically and theoretically.

Included in this course:


  • How to use the disk utility to prepare a hard drive or partition for MacOS.
  • Learning the MacOS installation process using both the Mac App Store and MacOS recovery.
  • Identifying the appropriate use of data migration tools
  • Determining the power status of a Mac and detailing how to troubleshoot power status on various Mac models
  • Exploring the diverse range of accounts in MacOS, and analysing the capabilities of these accounts. (inc. keychain and password options)
  • Define the use of the Time Machine to create, restore and manage a secure backup of the Mac system.
  • Learning how to configure and use MacOS features, such as Spotlight and Mission Control.
  • Configure a wired or Wi-Fi connection with the use of System Preferences and Apple accessories to link a network and securely share data between Mac units over a specific network.
  • Use tools in MacOS to configure online services, such as Apple ID accounts, iCloud, Mail etc.
  • Diagnose, evaluate, isolate and resolve software and hardware concerns.
  • Identifying online resources that will ensure Mac models are serviced correctly and safely.
  • Enabling skills to understand and describe the purpose of specified diagnostic tools.
  • Access to the use of Minko’s Macs documentation, tools and appropriate service strategies to safely repair various Mac computers.
