How the service works

1. Keep the device powered off and do not charge it
2. Record the incident and inspect the exterior before opening
3. Disconnect power and inspect internal components for corrosion
4. Clean and test affected areas, then identify damaged components
5. Obtain approval for any additional work, complete the viable repair and retest

Turnaround: Normal turnaround is 5–7 working days after check-in. Parts availability, additional faults or customer approval can extend this; we will contact you before carrying out extra paid work.

Warranty for liquid-damage work

Liquid damage can continue to cause corrosion and unrelated faults after treatment. Repair work to existing liquid-damaged components therefore carries no warranty. Any new replacement part that we fit carries a one-year warranty for that part and its related workmanship; later liquid exposure, continuing corrosion, accidental damage and unrelated faults are excluded. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

Should I try to switch the device on?
No. Power can worsen short circuits and corrosion. Keep it off and bring it in as soon as practical.

Is rice a suitable treatment?
No. Rice does not remove internal contamination or corrosion and can introduce debris.

Is repair guaranteed?
No. Liquid can affect multiple circuits and corrosion can continue. Existing-component liquid-damage repair has no warranty; newly fitted replacement parts retain their one-year warranty.
